I plan on going to Springfield, IL sometime in March and was wondering, how many of y'all have been to some historical places? I'm pretty sure I went to New Bern when I was a kid and din't even give a fuck.

define historical? lots of places have history, hell Raleigh has lots of history. like williamsburg historical or boston historical?

Well, off the path. Raleigh definitely has a lot of history, no way that can be disparaged. I am totally circlejerking myself by going to Springfield, but I wonder if there are other historical places that people have been that aren't typical places to go.

Williamsburg -- too toursity
Boston -- ah, fuck boston
Raleigh -- just right, but they already got shit goin' for them

bath is a cool little town with a lot of history, st. augustine is awesome too. savannah and river street is a lot of fun, charleston etc etc I could go on for awhile
