How did you go about picking one?
How did you know it was the one for her?
How did you go about paying for it? I am trying to stay below $5k...The 1st one I looked at was this $13,700 one from Tiffanys...I decided to look elsewhere.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! 2/27/2012 2:14:38 AM |

My friend took his mom and sister with him to help pick one out.
Obviously, he’d been paying attention to his fiancee’s random comments about what type of things she likes over the years, etc., then used his mom/sis to get their opinion. 2/27/2012 2:34:36 AM |

The wife and I went around looking at rings before we got engaged just so that I had an idea of what she liked. I also worked at Kay Jewelers at the time, so it didn't hurt that whenever she came to see me at work she could look around.
The day before I proposed, she stopped by work and saw a ring that she absolutely fell in love with. It was good because it was one we both liked. The style that she liked was vintage with the focus on lots of little diamonds, but I wanted to make sure her center stone was good quality because the big diamond was what was important to me. I decided to buy it at 4:45 when I got off work at 5:00, and I hurried to put together a proposal plan. She said yes.
We've been married just over seven months now. 2/27/2012 3:11:26 AM |
