voted objectively for my 1st team All ACC which would be Mike Scott (POY), Zeller, Henson, Stoglin, and Kadji.

Left off Barnes. He's a ball stopper, weak passer, overrated defender, who gets open perimeter shots due in part to good PG and good passing big men who demand double teams.

Just wouldn't take a guy like Barnes over Kadji in a pickup game and I think Kadji's statistics agree.

if i had to guess the real teams id say

1st: Barnes (POY), Zeller, Stoglin, Scott, Rivers

The media doesn't know shit so they'll put Rivers up there even though Curry has clearly been better. Also Barnes over Zeller and Scott is laughable as is Henson not making 1st team but they might not put 3 Heels up there.

2nd: Henson, Curry, Snaer, Leslie, Marshall (should be 3rd or lower)


3rd: Young ( should be 2nd teamer), Plumlee, Kelly, Kadji (should be 1st or 2nd), and Harris.


ZoBo will get some votes and be honorable mention for sure and may even crack 3rd team but isn't really deserving over any of the guys listed above. Howell may get a few votes but probably not many. Wood will get a few from people who like shooters.


The freshman are pretty terrible in the ACC this year so that's tough..

Freshman team: Rivers (POY), Cook, Hairston (mcadoo may get this over him even though he's been awful b/c Hairston was hurt), Len (should be padgett instead), and Lonnie Jackson (deserving)

DPOY: Henson, duh.

Im predicting the media's choice for the teams.

If they put Curry over Rivers I'll be somewhat surprised. They tend to buy into the overhyped freshman label more than anyone and they are reluctant to change their mind even when the guy doesn't turn out to be that good (see Harrison Barnes last season)

Uh, what? Rivers has more ppg and rpg (barely) than Curry. He's clearly a better player than Curry is, as far as penetrating and being able to create. Not to mention he's doing it as a freshman.
