Haven't gone into this thread until now... yeah, people make a lot of shit about race these days. Never lived in a gated community, hope I never do. Skimmed over some of the comments... seems to be a lot of race mongering.

Anyway, I won't comment a whole lot, just that I hope justice is done.

Total justice cannot be done because we will never know the whole story, unfortunately.

New documents released from the autopsy showing Trayvon Martin had THC in his system.

I mean, I can't how any rational/thinking person could possibly argue having THC in your system warrants being gunned down by a neighborhood watch volunteer.

This doesn't prove:
-Trayvon was a bad kid or a thug
-Trayvon was high at the time
-Trayvon instigated a fight
-Trayvon was violent
-Trayvon was doing anything wrong the night all of this occurred
-Zimmerman had knowledge of any of this the night this occurred

^^^that's a mighty big leap.

But it does shown that TM was not a law abiding citizen, at least prior to this event. For whatever that's worth. Breaking such easy to obey laws may indicate that an individual is willing to break other laws and may not be the upstanding citizen who is portrayed by the media. Not saying all people who smoke pot are this way, but if you break one law, you're likely willing to go further. However, almost all of us to break a law at some point. Those who make a habit of it are the ones in danger of disregarding the law all together.

Ehh, my point is correlation.

What about people that have never broken a law? Does that mean they are likely to never break a law in the future?

If that's true (or isn't), how is anyone ever likely to break a law?

If someone has never broken a law out of principle, then I say they're likely to never break one.

If someone breaks laws (a law) habitually, then I say they're likely to continue to do so and likely to break even more laws.

C'mon man, don't do that shit. You know we're talking about teens/adults and about a continuum.

My point was obvious. Once someone begins to break laws, they're likely to continue to do so and possibly break even more laws.

An extreme, yes... but there is a logical fallacy in your reasoning that I need you to address, please.

Regardless of age, no one has broken a law....until they have broken a law, right?

Can you really not figure it out, or are you just trolling.

The statement wasn't that no one could ever break a law if they haven't done so before because you're born without breaking a law. That's just asinine.

The point was someone, who has the mental capability to make decisions based on some level of principle, is likely to continue to break laws once they begin to do so.

See if you can follow this:

Who is more likely to commit a crime or is more willing to commit a crime:

A. Someone who has, out of principle, never broken a crime (or didn't mean to, for argument's sake).

B. Someone who has consciously decided to break 1 or more laws in the past

Look man, I follow what you're trying to get at. My issue is this:

Quote :
"A. Someone who has, out of principle, never broken a crime (or didn't mean to, for argument's sake).
"

At some point, everyone (both criminal and not) has matched this description.

Do you follow that?

I don't see any real correlation between someone's willingness to break a minor unjust law and their willingness to commit a major offense

I do see a correlation between the willingness to kill one human being and the willingness to kill another

Can you back this up with any facts or studies? I think you might just be pulling this out of your ass.

Yes; but this is not a static problem. You can't just look at one data point and say it doesn't work.

Your point is irrelevant. As someone gets older, if they've never broken a law out of principle, then they likely won't choose to start breaking laws. However, once a person starts to break laws, they're more likely to continue to do so.

^Sure, won't you look some up?

Do you have any facts/studies to back it up. If not than i have also walked on the moon. I need no facts to back this up because everyone knows its true.

i'm not the one claiming anything thus i don't need to back up your facts.

thanks for playing along.

motherfucker, this is chit chat. I'm not scouring the internet to please your dumbass.

It's a thought experiment.

Who is likely to more willing to commit a crime? Someone who's willingly broken them before, or someone who has consciously not broken any?

You're retarded if you think any of that matters. Just like the prosecution & the media tried to portray Trayvon as a young, innocent kid, the defense will use this to say that he was a punk thug druggie up to no good. Juries are made up of average people and we all know that the average person is an idiot. They're either going to listen to the prosecution and decide that Zimmerman is a racist blood thirsty psycho that went out looking to kill and chased down an innocent kid or they'll listen to the defense and decide that Zimmerman is a hero that rid the neighborhood of a cracked out thief that was a danger to the community. There might be one or two that realize it's all bullshit and both of them fucked up.

"New witness accounts also emerged Thursday. A witness, whose name is redacted, told investigators he saw “a black male, wearing a dark colored hoodie,” on top of a white or Hispanic male who was yelling for help.
The witness, who was looking out the sliding glass door at his home about 30 feet away, said he saw the black male throwing punches “MMA (mixed martial arts) style.”
He said he told the fighters he was calling the police. He said that as he was making the call, he heard a shot. He looked outside and saw the person who had been on top laid out on the grass as if he had been shot. He said the other fighter was standing on the sidewalk, talking to another person with a flashlight."

Autopsy report.

1. Looks like he Martin was under 6 feet, and was 158lbs. Not that that matters.

2. Reading the description of the entrance wound, intermediate range shot, damage to the chest/heart/lungs, and the direction of the bullet (direct...front to back), I can't help but wonder if it's revealing?
All this time, I pictured Trayvon on top of Zimmerman, Zimmerman reaching for his gun, and blowing Trayvon away. Reading the description in the report, , if that were the case, Im not sure why Zimmerman didn't have blood on his shirt. Unless Trayvon wasn't on top of Zimmerman when shot?

3. "External genitalia.... unremarkable"

Another article, written from a slightly different perspective. Most interesting is the revelation of some other evidence turned over by prosecutors.
-It further details the investigator that wanted to arrest Zimmerman that night
-A neighbor says Zimmerman didn't like black people, and was confrontational
-A coworker says Zimmerman was a bully
-Trayvon had like $40, and a photo pin?, and a lighter on him
-Officer says there was no evidence of wrongdoing by the way of Trayvon

Did the autopsy mention whether or not this was actually THC, or the metabolic byproducts (which is what shows up on cheap drug tests)?

There is a huge difference between him having smoked pot recently, or actively being high during the altercation.

Did anyone bother to read the whole quote because I copy/pasted from the start:

The THC is important because the media kept showing the 14 year old TM and this shows he wasn't the innocent he was made out to be.
