Not being a very political minded person, I find myself needing to produce some example of how the gov't/white house/obama keeps a tight grip on the media... examples of how these entities try to manipulate or otherwise direct the media. Also, ways in which the white house tries to control the media to it's own advantage... please help. Thanks in advance.

this wasn't the White House
but it demonstrates political control of, or at least retribution against, elements of the media

Blaming the white house is too easy. Think bigger. Look at the government as a whole. White house, Congress, and the Justices. Who owns Washington? The american people or lobbyists? One test to determine the answer is "Who is getting their way?" The answer is "not the american people".

There are more players to this game with influence on the media. The Fed, Wall Street, The Board of Chairmen who own the Media, Washington D.C, Lobbyists (RIAA, MPAA, BANKERS, OILERS, BOEING/DEFENSE CONTRACTORS, CAR MANUFACTURERS), Large Corporations (Wal-mart, google, Time Warner).

The main overseer that is employed by the government to maintain government compliance and censorship of material is the FCC. The FCC controls the information that is broadcasted. Who rules the FCC?

I think it's more of a failure of the media over the past decade to challenge the office the president. Similar complaint was lobbed at them during the lead up to the Iraq war.

I took a class on this. Dr. Eantman I think.

Presidents who successful control the media are normally two term presidents.

The white house told the media and world that obama was buried at sea, but wikileak uncovered that he wasn't.

Leaked: Bin Laden not buried at sea, body moved on CIA plane to US

Quote :
"The body of Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden was not buried at sea, according to leaked emails of intelligence firm Stratfor, as revealed by WikiLeaks.

Stratfor’s vice-president for intelligence, Fred Burton, believes the body was “bound for Dover, [Delaware] on [a] CIA plane” and then “onward to the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Bethesda [Maryland],” an email says.

The official version is that the body of Al-Qaeda’s top man, who was killed by a US raid in Pakistan on May 2, 2011, was buried at an undisclosed location at sea in a proper Muslim ceremony.

"If body dumped at sea, which I doubt, the touch is very Adolph Eichman like. The Tribe did the same thing with the Nazi's ashes," Burton commented in another email. Eichman was one of the masterminds of the Holocaust by Nazi Germany. He was captured by Mossad agents in Argentina and, tried in Israel, found guilty and executed in 1962. His body was cremated and his ashes were scattered at sea over the Mediterranean.

"Eichmann was seen alive for many months on trial before being sentenced to death and executed. No one wanted a monument to him so they cremated him. But i dont know anyone who claimed he wasnt eicjhman [sic]. No comparison with suddenly burying him at sea without any chance to view him which i doubt happened [sic]," Stratfor CEO George Friedman replied.

"The US Govt needs to make body pics available like the MX's do, with OBL's pants pulled down, to shout down the lunatics like Alex Jones and Glenn Beck," Burton says in another message.

In another missive Burton says Osama’s body “is a crime scene and I don’t see the FBI nor DOJ letting that happen.”

WikiLeaks began publishing Stratfor emails in late February. The archive was obtained by the hacker group Anonymous, which successfully attacked one of the firm’s servers. More than 5 million emails were apparently stolen.

Stratfor is a US-based intelligence firm called the “shadow CIA” by some media. Among its clients are several US agencies and many big companies. The company relies on paid tips from informants placed in high circles of business, government and security all around the world.

Even until this day there are no pictures, no evidence, no witnesses to confirm the White House's story.

We've seen Saddam get hung, Uday and Kusay dead, Omar Ghadaffi beaten, shot... but where is Bin Laden?

What proof do you want? Seriously.

Do you want me to "christmas-story-ghost"-you to the incident in the past, so we can follow his body as it happened without disturbing time?

An email or something that proves his body was brought back to the US and not left in the sea. Can you provide anything like that? If not, then you have made a baseless accusation.

Because I have no connection with the case. I'm a TWW member, an internet media and MSM bitch. Everything I know is based on what others have told me.

I wasn't a witness. You need to start with questioning the people that were involved.

Why? I have no reason to question them. People posting their own made up beliefs about what has happened doesn't give me reason to question the government. If they do something I don't agree with or if they say something that sounds implausible, then I question them. Just because you read crap from people who question everything doesn't make you an enlightened individual who is on a different plain of understanding than the rest of us. It makes you a conspiracy theorist moron.

I know what I know is true based on evidence collected. Much like what a jury has to do to determine whether a defendant is guilty or not.

I don't question the tupac death.
I don't question the Uday or Kusay death.

But hey! Even when there is enough evidence to convict someone, there are people in jail that were wrongly convicted based on that strong evidence which happened to be coincidental.

I wish everyone would agree and be humble like me to admit they don't know anything to be ideally true in this world.

As I quote from one of the greatest philosophers known to man who dedicated his life to knowing something, this is all he could figure out: "I know one thing, that I know nothing" -Socrates

Really? You said that Osama's body was not buried at sea.

Quote :

In the article that you wrote, there was not one bit of evidence that he was not buried in sea. Instead, they spent their effort building up Stratfor's credibility, but then Stratfor didn't provide any evidence to backup their claim. They were nothing more than e-mails of wishes and desires with a lot of speculation and incoherent sentences...

How about the implausibility of the government having a few hundred people, maybe even a thousand people, involved in this scheme of deception? Nixon couldn't keep Watergate from getting out, and only like 10 or so people were involved in that. Do you really think they are competent enough to keep it a secret for over a year?

Any person that doesn't side with democrats by the age of 20 doesn't have a heart, and any person that doesn't side with republicans by th age of 30 doesn't have any money. Journalism pays so shitty that most people in the industry never make it to that second level.
