But seriously, it's messed up that employers do this. On the one hand, I think, "It's an invasion of privacy, but you don't have to work for a company that does that," but then it feels discriminatory that refusing to allow others into your personal life precludes you from obtaining a job. Search for me all you want, but if my profile is locked I'm not providing you access. This also goes for jobs where you have to add your boss as a friend.
