Going to Atlanta 4/6-4/7 and staying in Buckhead. Looking for restaurant recommendations with the following:
Italian, American (local dishes, creative takes on normal food, foods outside of the norm), or seafood.
Mid-level or upscale restaurants with a nice ambience for a couple
Walking distance to nightlife
Thanks!

Not really, just had to get that post out of the way.
I'm also on board for any Atlanta recommendations, as my parents are new arrivals to the city, and I'm sure I will be spending lots of time there.

I was just there this past weekend and ate at a place called Legal Seafood that was pretty damn good. It's near the aquarium. 3/28/2012 4:12:09 PM

There's a sports diner that's awesome near the Ikea around Lenox, and I can't remember the name of it. It might be Lenox Square Grill. It's not as laid back as it sounds, and it's good food.
Also, there's an Atlanta thread in Old School that may be able to offer more pertinent suggestions.

Don't remember too much about food places, but there is a good, cheap bar that I have gone to several times called Moondogs. Last time I was there, some of the Braves players were in attendance. Pretty sure its a college crowd bar though. 3/29/2012 1:47:17 PM
