He is. Many athletes aren't. Even when they're white.

I do. Tyler Lewis is pretty well-spoken. Tyler Hansbrough is not.

Damn, Terrell just got picked up by the Vikings. Been on three teams already. Feel bad for him because he's got the talent.

still haven't heard anything about Andre... hopefully he'll at least get some tryouts when some team's RB corps inevitably gets hit by injuries (like Tampa Bay last year)

Rivers: 28/37 for 284 and 3tds
Wilson: 17/25 for 202 and 2tds

Cotchery had 4 catches for 46 yards.

Irving led the Broncos with 11 tackles (7 solo)
Tulloch led the Lions with 10 tackles (7 solo)
Mario Williams had another sack (2 total)
Lawson had three tackles
Willie Young had 4 tackles and 2 sacks (3 for the season)

Pretty solid day for the Pack.

Props to Amerson Island.

looks like the bucs fans are done with another Josh and want moar Glennon

The only downside here is that he's gonna get mauled the rest of the season being behind that shitty o-line.

haha indeed.

I was thinking about this last night-- he's in a pretty shitty situation where he's set up to fail. He's got a decent receiving corps, but poor O-line, and an abysmal defense. This is the type of thing that ruins young QBs with a ton of potential. Glennon's last 7 years or so have been nothing but having everything working against him. Being behind Russell Wilson, two years of putting up damn good numbers in spite of a medicore (at best) supporting cast at state, being drafted by the bucs, etc.

However badly this season goes for the team, it seems like he's been through enough shit that he'll at least mentally persevere.

We all thought Rivers was in a dysfunctional organization, but TB is far far worse.

Lovie Smith was a dumbass for hitching his ride to Josh McCown, a 35 year old journeyman. Hiring Tedford was even dumber, a mediocre college coach best known for QBs who failed in the NFL. I think Glennon is fucked too, his best bet is to get injured and traded during the offseason.

Yeah I still don't know why he announced McCown as the starter as soon as they signed him. I'd say the players that played for Schiano would prefer his overbearing style rather than Lovie's, which is apparently to sit back and watch with a dumb ass look on your face as your team gets demolished . Wade Phillips had more fire than Lovie does.

or maybe he was like "hey, this O-Line blows huge chunks, maybe we shouldn't put our future QB behind it this year so he doesn't end up like David Carr. I know, lets sign this old fuck to get destroyed."

Lovie is a horrible coach. He got by in Chicago with some awesome players on defense and the best special teams player ever. Combine that with being in a shitty division (Lions and Vikings were horrible, end of Favre/beginning of Rodgers era)...and he was able to keep his job for a few years. Once Rodgers begin to rule the division, it was lights out for Smith.

Like any coach would sacrifice his own reputation for a QBs. If Glennon started and got injured, then it's not his fault if they suck, and they can get the #1 pick in the draft. Nah, they spent $10/mil on McCown, money that could have gone to improving the offensive line. He legitimately thought McCown gave them the best chance to win.

Announcers mentioned NC State a number of times soon after Glennon got in and praised Dana Bible, and either said TB or Smith expects Glennon to be their QB of the future.
