I get an hour-long massage once a month. I'm thinking about bumping it up to 1/week.

Getting a massage is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

Massage gift certs. make great gifts on Valentines' day..or any day really.

Yeah, I am contemplating doing the 1 massage/month. I don't know. It definitely felt GREAT.

Oh man, I have never had a real massage before, but I'd imagine I would probably jizz all over the place. I've seen too many sexy porn vids start out this way. Speaking of, the fuckedhard18.com teen massage videos are some of the sexiest genre of porns out there. Here is a playlist of some:

Also, how do these last an hour? When my fiance gives these to me (the ones that don't end in sex), I am normally asleep in under 5 minutes.

I recently joined the 1 massage per month or so club. I just watch for groupons. Some are with sketchy black chicks in N. Raleigh, but still worth it. My first one the therapist told me about all the benefits of massages, like removing lactic acid from muscles and toxins, etc. Not to mention stress relief. Highly recommended.

Is this type of stuff true? Are there legitimate medical benefits from massage? Or is this just some sort of witchdoctor crap like chiropractics?

"therapists" will tell you a lot about what massage "therapy" does for you... some of it is/may be true, the rest is wishful thinking/marketing ploys. Just like chiropractors; they can do some good and really help you out; but don't believe every word they say, these are still more arts than medicine, IMO (note: I use/have used both).

It will help relieve stress, loosen muscles, improve flexibility, give you a feeling of rejuvenation, lower blood pressure (somewhat). Remove toxins? I doubt.

As far as etiquette, no need to shave if you're hairy, they are used to it. Undress to a level you are comfortable with (underwear or nude generally). I normally go to just boxers. 20% tip is customary. Arousal is "normal" for some people. Just lay down, don't talk, close your eyes and enjoy.

Tried once...couldn't stand it. I just don't like strangers touching/kneading me I guess.

i have never met a "massage therapist" who claimed to be a doctor, whereas every chiropractor goes by Dr. despite the fact they practice a bunch of hooey.

it actually does the opposite. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19997015
that's not to say massage has no benefits, but medically it does nothing. it's stress relief mostly.

Same can be said for hand jobs.

If massage therapists are going to say it is for stress relief, and then neglect the part of the body that is in need of a release them most, to me that sounds pretty unethical to me.

I mean really... what is a hand job if not a massage?
