I keep seeing these random flies around the house (slow flying, in your face). I think they are coming from the duct work under the house, not sure.
anyway, how can I get rid of these things? I think i want to try bombing under the house and inside one day. I think that may do it. 4/5/2012 6:14:01 PM |

I had a fruit fly problem. I filled a jar with wine and dish soap. (apple cider vinegar and dish soap work well) Put a funnel on top of the jar... The flies go into the jar through the funnel but can't figure out how to get back out through the small opening. The soap breaks the surface tension of the wine/vinegar so they get trapped inside as well. 4/6/2012 7:35:59 PM |

are the flies slow/stupid/easily killed with a slow slap? do they drown in standing water left out? have any potted plants?
they might be fungus gnats, my apartment had a shitload of them for a while. 4/6/2012 9:44:31 PM |

do you have any bathrooms/kitchens that don't get used often? run water through all your drains, if the traps get dry they'll get in that way 4/7/2012 1:33:01 PM |

I just put seran wrap over a bowl and poke a few holes in it. fill the bowl with something sugary or vinegary, but I think the sugary shit works better. you'll have a bowl full of dead flies in no time. 4/7/2012 4:20:58 PM |
