Yu Darvish tonight, followed by Feliz ... might be a very telling couple of games

Nathan giving up the bomb the other day was not a great sign though

Can't imagine they can play any better than they are for the rest of the year. Hopefully they play like this come playoff time as well. A lot will depend on injuries.

I actually think they've got probably the best injury insurance in all of baseball. They've 2 guys in long relief right now who've both shown to be more than capable as MLB starters (Feldman / Ogando), plus Ogando or Adams could take the closer role if need be.

As for the field, if Hamilton and Cruz both were to go down they've still got Gentry, Murphy, Borbon, and Martin ... obviously that's not quite as formidable an outfield, but coupled with the rest of the lineup it does the trick.

As for the infield Young can play every position occupied by an injury prone player, and they could call on Profar if 2 guys go down.

And catcher they've got 2 guys who would get the starting job on most teams.

If Hamilton, Cruz, Kinsler, and Beltre all got hurt at overlapping times, yeah...that's a problem...but it's not very likely

This team is loaded no doubt. Best lineup in baseball. They just need the ace, a Cliff Lee, if they could have gotten him....

[Edited on April 21, 2012 at 4:12 PM. Reason : Lee should have stayed in Texas]

I was at the Cubs game and during BP before the game this kid played the "kid card" and got 2 balls. then tried to do it again on a HR ball during the game.

I say let the kids learn that they are going to be given everything in life, and life is a little chance mixed with working hard for it.

maybe if that kid drank more milk he could have jumped out of his dads arms and snatched the ball out of the air. BOOM.

I think CJ was a bit of an addition by subtraction...at this point they need clutch pitchers who are capable of locking down playoff games, which CJ wasn't. He also used to be a bit of a clubhouse distraction when he was a reliever, but I don't think that still applied recently

How about they go for a base hit in the 8th instead of a grand slam? Those guys are good enough hitters to do that.

I'm just curious, what are the "moneyball" figures for the Rangers lineup? Specifically, guys like Hamilton and Napoli, are they overrated, underrated or what?

any thoughts?

Uh, my team is the one that put 8 runs on the Josh Hamiltons last night. The team where I've seen most of the players in many games in the minors and have ties to for many reasons.

I don't suck off some douchebag Raleigh lush and follow him around to whatever team decides to trade him because he can't keep out of a fucking bar, yo.

Lewis 2-0 ERA 2.03
Darvish 3-0 ERA 2.42
Feliz 1-1 ERA 3.0
Harrison 3-1 ERA 3.38
Holland 2-1 4.78

overrated for sure. those guys are paid way too much to be so useless

not sure that is the reason they are hesitant to sign him.

Uh, I don't care and don't pledge allegiance to some team because of their high school or because they're some drunken Raleigh murderer. It's a damn shame this guy isn't on a sports team:

Because batting average is more important than destroying a family to Ragged, clearly.

The fact that you fuckstains only cheer for the Rangers because of this drug addled, addicted fucking loser is the most annoying thing aside from if they hadn't been embarrassed by the National League the last two years.
