I did some searching and in the past year I didn't see this question recently.
I am moving back to Raleigh this fall for grad school, and its been since '06 that I've lived there and now I have a wife and a kid. Ideally I'd like to live west of campus (wife will be working at either Wake Med, UNC or Duke hospital, and since we don't know yet, best to live in the middle) and family is in Holly Springs for babysitting. Where are the best locations (both physical for where to live and also websites to look/people to ask) to rent a house or townhome? No apartments...wife's rule. Budget is $1,100, nothing more, 3 bedroom is ideal, at least 2. 4/12/2012 3:07:46 PM |

Cary seems like a good midpoint between NCSU, Duke, and Holly Springs. If she ends up at UNC might want to look further out near Brier Creek though if you lived near NCSU should could take the express bus from NCSU to UNC. 4/12/2012 3:14:51 PM |

Morrisville also has some decently cheap places to live, but you'd be taking the toll road to holly springs if you wanted to take a freeway. 4/12/2012 3:17:26 PM |

were the websites I used to search for rentals. Some properties will appear on multiple sites, some won't. Bev Roberts rentals is who I'm renting from currently.

I appreciate that. I am thinking that Cary would work pretty well, but know nothing about Morrisville. I can't handle Craigslist anymore for houses. It's nothing but people just lying about where their place is but it is at least a good place to kill some time at work looking between now and August. 4/12/2012 6:01:01 PM |
