I arrive at 7:45 am on April 26th and work all day till about 6:30 pm. Then I will probably have to work on Friday for half a day before flying out at 4:15 pm.

I already checked...Disney World is open 9 am to 9 pm. I won't have time to go to the theme parks after work.

^^I heard about the giant arcade, but like I said, I will get out of work about 6:30 pm, or later and Disney World closes at 9:00 pm. I'll have from about 7 pm to 2 am at the latest to have some fun.

"Established in the 1880s, Parramore is the historical hub of Orlando's African-American community. The area is located just west of the Central Business district along Division Ave and West Church Street. Once a thriving neighborhood, years of neglect, crime, and homelessness have resulted in economic blight. Today, city leaders, business owners, and local residents are working together to improve the area.

It is a residential area with a large number of high intensity entertainment and office institutions; such as the Amway Center, Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre, US Courthouse for the Mid-District of Florida, Florida A&M University School of Law, county & state buildings, and Orlando Police Department headquarters. Smaller businesses include grocery stores, barber shops, and soul food restaurants."

No thanks!

^^Yes! City Walk is actually pretty good. And I think Islands of Adventure is open later than Disney.

It's been a while since I've been to all things Disney down there so I'm left with a question...

Isn't there an age window that once you are outside it Disney really isn't that interesting? Like you go there in your mid to late teens and the only thing to do is ride a few roller coasters (and there are better places for that). Go there as an adult and the only reason you are there is because you took your kids?

Just curious. It's been nearly 20 years since I've been so I don't remember and it likely isn't even the same place as it was 20 years ago.

^I was sort of thinking about that too. Someone told my mom before she took us that the Magic Kingdom is for young kids and Epcot Center is for a little older crowd. I have no clue if that means 16-20, or people in their 30s.

WOW! Islands of Adventure closes even earlier than Disney World!

http://www.universalorlando.com/Resort-Information/Theme-Park-Hours.aspx

These parks need to hire some real carnies and give then some meth, so they can stay up all night operating the rides.

i wouldnt touch disney/epcot but you can definitely enjoy Adventure Island/Universal in your 20's and 30's without kids.

City walk was swarming with people in that age range drinking at night too. Service industry and tourist town so it's a fairly good party scene.

Disney after dark they had to shut down because it was a big drug scene and parents would go crazy and then not be able to take their kids to the parks the next day

^From what I have read online so far...

Disney Boardwalk > Universal City Walk

The Disney version has a micro brewery and dueling piano bar. The other one doesn't. To me it is always fun to eat and drink at a micro brewery when you are an out of towner. I did this when I went to DC. Capital City Brewery on New York Street was pretty good.

My wife and I had a good time at EPCOT last year and we are in our mid-twenties. There are thrill rides there that are much more intense than what you will find at Magic Kingdom, and at the World Showcase you can drink around the world

Well I'm biased bc city walk had a huge thing going on once when I was there. $25 all you can drink wrist band event that probably had the best ratio and pure talent I've ever seen at one event. Place was CRAWLING.

So what is the name of the arcade outside of the Disney parks that is 4 stories high and you can play all of the coin ops for free that you want once you pay the gate fee?

Me playing with my camera in the hotel room.

The Disney Boardwalk is pretty cool. They had candy shops and shows for children going on that the whole family could enjoy, but yet they had a 21+ dance club and 21+ Dueling Piano Bar, along with some other bars.
