Theres a bus stop by my house and google maps tells me its a straight shot from that stop to moore square. This seems like a very feasible mode of transportation to the beerfest tomorrow as I do not want to cab twice (will be cabbing home) and I definitely dont want to drive. Anyways, my question is can I just pay them with cash/card or do I need some sort of special bus pass. The website says you can pay online for whatever reason but nothing about just giving the bus driver however much it is. 4/13/2012 11:17:13 PM

Unless things have changed recently, you can ride for free with your student ID if you still have it. Doesn't matter if it expired, they don't check it. 4/14/2012 1:30:50 AM

then, once you're downtown, you can ride the R Line for free. so, you can go from your place to Moore Square to anywhere you please then back home for a buck. that beats the shit out of cab fare 4/14/2012 8:44:24 AM

Capital Area Transit is absolutely a viable option for transportation in Raleigh. I love that thing.
and have fun at that bus stop.
Actually, the bus driver never made me pay...but I think it's $.75 or $1.00... 4/14/2012 9:48:54 AM

false. that ended 2 or 3 yrs ago. It costs $1 to ride once and $2 for a day pass. If you are a senior citizen it is only .50. 4/14/2012 9:52:05 AM

Lol yeah I've walked from Fayetteville Street to the Brickyard before. Usually takes me about thirty minutes and I walk pretty fast. 4/14/2012 12:00:19 PM

Raleigh buses are great and you meet some capital-R REAL-ass people on them. Oh hey bro, you're riding the bus home with $100 of diapers? 4/14/2012 6:18:11 PM
