Wrong. The fail is that they are dedicating an hour to something that is available 24/7 on another local channel. There is absolutely no reason to listen.

Now if he played some obscure genre of classical music there might be a reason to turn in.

I like classical music, but I dont turn to WKNC to listen to it when it's available at any time on a station DEDICATED to classical.


It's like deciding to play an hour to the best of 70s 80s and 90's mainstream rock.

His deal is that he is playing a lot of stuff that many people that do not own the albums of bands from the classic rock era would not hear other wise.

So it actually is something unique that you are not going to get on other classic rock stations who still play the same 4 singles that made a band famous 30 + years ago.

some of those DJs need to work on their radio voice
a few sound like pubescent teenagers

also there's some promos that need to be cleaned up
sometimes people's mic technique is lacking
