Howard Wooldridge, a retired police officer who now lobbies the government to relax marijuana prohibition laws, told Republic Report that next to police unions, the “second biggest opponent on Capitol Hill is big PhRMA” because marijuana can replace “everything from Advil to Vicodin and other expensive pills.” 5.) Prison Guard Unions: Prison guard unions have a vested interest in keeping people behind bars just like for-profit prison companies. Marinol is a legal pharmaceutical product that you have to have a prescription for, so I'm not sure what you're arguing about. It's a drug just like Advil, and won't get you high unless you consume it in large quantities; for most people.

Good point, but I was just going off what that link he posted said, where he said he tried it to control the vomiting and nausea he was having and it worked and he's still in remission. But honestly, I know very little about the side effect of marinol so that could not be the case for most people like you said. I know my friend smokes it to give himself an appetite (among other things... obviously) because he's always been a pretty small guy and never did eat much.
