Looking for recommendations on where to board my dog for the weekend in the Raleigh/Cary area. Preferably a place that has outside playtime, clean facilities, and intelligent staff. 4/22/2012 12:03:55 AM |

You could also consider having someone come into your home instead of boarding.

^that's what i would suggest. my dogs spazz out being boarded & end up having to go to the vet when we get back bc they chew their feet to bloody pieces. in-home pet sitting is the best thing ever. idk about the one suggested or any other in raleigh, since i'm in rocky mount, but ours will turn lights on/off, get your mail, restock the fridge, water plants, do all kinds of crap for you while you're gone in addition to caring for the animals. it ended up being cheaper too. i'd definitely look into it. 4/22/2012 11:45:49 AM |

Anyone know of cheaper options? These places look great and would be fine for a weekend or so, but we're looking for someone to watch our dog for 2 weeks and it really adds up. My brother usually stayed at our house, but he moved out of the area recently. 4/23/2012 8:53:32 AM |

i used to work at camp bow wow out past brier creek a bunch of years ago. it was a nice place & i liked their set up (dogs are out all playing all day & only in kennels for an hour at lunch & overnight). idk if they're still there or how their prices compare though. 4/23/2012 9:11:40 AM |

^ thats exactly what I am looking for. Is the cary location just as good? Wondering if you heard anything about other locations when you worked at the Durham one.

i don't remember if there was a cary one when i worked at the durham one. i want to think maybe it didn't exist yet, but i could be wrong. the people i worked with at the durham one were really nice (to people & dogs). i took my dog with me to work every day & she loved it there. 4/23/2012 9:18:59 AM |
