So I want to cook chicken, and pork...it's so good by itself...that I want to learn their secrets.

I know they have to let that shit just sit there for a while.

Anyone know some people so we can get the down low?

I added cumin to my dinner tonight. Wanted something cheap and simple that I already had ingredients for, so I just browned 4 chicken tenderloins in butter with salt and pepper, then added 1/2 diced onion and a diced jalapeno, then a 4 oz can of mushrooms, a can of black beans, and a can of tomatoes and green chillies, season with cayenne pepper and cumin and simmer for like 20 minutes.

Scrumptious and simple dinner plus lunch tomorrow.

Rick Bayliss is the man... his show "Mexico: one plate at a time" has re-runs showing all the time on TWC.

I'm not sure if I have ever had mushrooms in any Mexican food.

I'm not sure I have either. I was just commenting on AndyMac's post because I think canned mushrooms are kinda gross.

[Edited on April 23, 2012 at 12:14 PM. Reason : <3 fresh mushrooms though!]

Obviously fresh are better, but I didn't have any fresh mushrooms.

But yeah I've had mushrooms in mexican food before. Don't know if it was real mexian food or tex-mex though.

^this.

I love cilantro. I'd also add tomato sauce, refried beans, regular beans, tortillas, and (queso) cheese to that list.

lol I was thinking more in terms of spices. Add those five things to any meal and it becomes Mexican
