nah you don't. the first time is terrifying because you think you're going blind. all the other times are just annoying.

like this but it lasts 20 minutes to an hour:

This happened to me once in high school. I saw crazy rainbow spinners everywhere and a weird whooshing noise occurred. All followed by the feeling of being stabbed in the front left of my skull. The only way it felt better was by sitting in an upright position with my head between my legs. Shut sucked, yo. I haven't had one since.

I get them every so often, followed by a dull headache that lasts for ages. I can usually tell when it's starting, and if I catch it right after it starts, and take some ibuprofen, the headache is usually minimal and the auras go away faster.

^Same for me. Right before it happens, it seems like my sense of spatial awareness diminishes and I can't tell where my hands are. It's a really strange feeling.

Triggers for me seem to be related to amount of caffeine consumption and lack of sleep. Also, like the Wikipedia says, if MSG has recently been in my diet, they can happen.

The last one I had was sparked by reading in the sun without sunglasses on. I'll never make that mistake again.

aura only lasted 20 minutes. no headache so far.

i'm pretty sure it's triggered by coffee + lack of sleep

i had this 2 sundays ago around 10ish in the morning. it lasted about an hour & no headache followed though. i felt pretty good otherwise while it happened. later around 5pm i got really dizzy for maybe 40-50 mins. then around 1030pm the left side of my face between my eye, nose, & lip was numb, heavy feeling, & slightly slightly swollen. called the OB's office the next morning & they said go to the ER. ER just kinda shrugged & sent me home. it was a tiny bit painful on monday, then completely gone the next day.

I am having this now for the second time in 3 days. I guess it might be sleep, because I haven't had any caffeine or eaten anything different than normal. I didn't have a migraine with the last one, so I hope today is the same.

I had tunnel vision with my migraines. It's like someone shined a bright light from the corner of both your eyes. Annoying as hell. Then the tunnel vision would disappear, you would think you're fine, then shortly afterwards I had the pain from hell! Once it actually made me throw up in my mother's car. She was none to happy. Made me get out so she could clean it up a bit, which sucked as it was a sunny day.

I slept the sleep of death each time and woke up feeling better, but still like shit.

I haven't had one for years, although I did get tunnel vision once after I had returned from China. It didn't turn into a migraine, as I just went to sleep almost immediately when I had tunnel vision. Woke up fine. I was still adjusting back to EST, so I attribute it to that. However when I came back from Germany last year, I didn't have an issue.

I, too, have never had a migraine

I do get crazy light sparks every once in a while, like this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_field_entoptic_phenomenon

except its yellowish, usually happens if I do something like dry my hair to fervently

I'm good for about 2 migraines a year or so. I know it's coming because I start having trouble adjusting focuse when I'm moving around. If I'm sitting still I'm okay but if I'm having to drive or walk around I can hardly see cause my eyes don't adjust to the motion well. Scared the shit outa me the first time and made me so nauseas I threw up.

Evolution was stupid for inventing age. Our body has the capability of sustaining itself yet it decides to crap out by design over time.

^^ That one looks like some kind of monster/dimensional warp zone or something out of a cheesy SyFy channel movie to me. Though it's also a little closer to mine than the one in the OP.

Mine is waning now. Kind of.

Estimates say that there have been around 100 billion humans since our species was born. I think you can imagine how the world would be different if none of them ever died of old age.

Gasp, you mean we'd have to instate a limit on child births?
Gasp, you mean there aren't enough planets in an infinite universe to expand to?
Gasp, people can't die from hurricanes and darwinism?

Of fucking course the world would be different if people didn't die of old age!

^^ if by "we" you mean "people tens of thousands of years ago" then yes. Like I said, none of us would be here if humans were immortal.
