We got something that has a 70% chance of forming into a storm here soon.

again...this happens every year...I create a chit chat hurricane season thread that is more sucessful than the lounge hurricane season thread...

Please don't get upset with me...it's just how the world turns

it doesn't matter to me who makes the thread, but it really should be in the lounge.

Well I enjoy the chit chat thread...makes it more fun...

I have this conversation with someone every year that I start the thread...but then as soon as a hurricane pops up people are in this thread cause sawahash is in the middle of the hurricane giving up to the minute updates...until the power goes out

Anyway...looks like the possible paths of the storm at this point could affect the Raleigh area more than my area.

also...this is always fun to just watch

pouring here too. Nothing gets closed down for tropical storms, so it's gonna be a nice little pain in the ass going to and from work and lunch and taking smoke breaks. At least it's only going to be one day though.

Got a ton of rain in Charleston. Won't have to water the yard/garden for a couple days now.

This isn't going to end well. The ground around the east is already saturated from the past weeks rain, and this 6+ rain isn't going to help matters. All runoff at this point.

invest96 is in the gulf

could be debbie later tonight or tomorrow...

right now could either go west toward texas or east toward florida... the trough swinging over central US could pick it up and carry it toward florida or the ridge could move it toward texas

early models are very spread out....though most are leaning toward a texas direction
