I didn't have any milk jugs, but I did have two stacks of Styrofoam cups, so I filled those up instead.

i have the same BP card. pumped like $3/gal premium the other day. i still preferred the old BP rewards card though, where you got cash back.

You can (could at least in march) redeem any remaining balance from the old rewards program (full amount, not just multiples of $25 or whatever it was). Now it's just x amount off of a gallon of gas for x amount of spending (I don't recall the numbers) up to 20 gallons. It's also all or none for redeeming.

I just checked and I *think* I know how it works. I had a $385 transaction, and for that transaction, I earned $0.19 in per gallon discount, at a max of 20 gallons. So since that transaction was a former 1% category (everything else), it makes sense that I got that amount since .19 * 20 = $3.85. Looks like BP purchases earn you the equivalent of 3%, *if* you use all 20 gallons, which I imagine the majority of drivers can't use in one filling. Sounds like a horrible rewards program.
