I have a ton of MTG cards sitting around at my parents house somewhere. I'm sure many are very valuable but I don't have anything that pre-dates empires, Arabian nights, etc. I mostly started with Visions/Iceage/Mirage/Weatherlight and quit right after Tempest although I did buy a box of Homelands and a few other random cards here and there.

I have a 52 card all-red burn deck that eats people alive. Only thing that has ever touched it was an all-blue counter that basically countered everything until he could get out a clone and a drednaught. Also have a bunch of artifacts that make you discard and tap (read: manawebs, black vices, racks)

I wouldn't mind nerding out with y'all sometime if anyone wants to play. one of my friends still plays I found out recently

More sweet finds

Force of will - some silly uncommon is like 40 bones
Moat - pretty good card, but not $150 good
Intuition - like a homeless demonic tutor, how is it 30 bucks?
Enlightened tutor - I think they used to give those away, now is ten bones. I got a million of em.
dual lands are worth more than my car.
show and tell - wat?

I wouldn't mind going to a store just to see how people are using these cards that make them so desired

I wish I had pushed more money into buying older MtG cards back in the day, I started to buy the power nine back when I was playing a lot in HS and really wish I had now that the set is $texas.

Lion's Eye is basically a Black Lotus in combo decks that burn through their hand anyway or play from the graveyard. Those decks can use it to win in the turn, which is why force of will is so high: its a free counter that can stop turn one kills. Also a lot of the cards are in much more limited quantities because people junked them before they were seen as useful, basic suppy and demand.
