I actually find black men who identify themselves as conservatives to be some of the more intelligent people out there.

It takes a lot of independent thought to break out of the poverty cycle. It's easy for a white person to grow up in riches and realize "wow, working for yourself really does work" and quite different for someone who grows up in a "here's my check" environment to figure it out.
