Maybe the soft shell crabs I had weren't prepared properly but I wasn't that impressed.

I love crabs and grew up on them. Picking them since I was 3. But this soft shell crab business is way too weird for me.

I love crab, but I wasn't impressed with the softshell ones I had. It felt like I was eating shrimp with the shells on

I love softshell crabs...but it's a fine line in making sure they're cooked right and that their shell is soft enough to begin with. If not...they can almost make me gag.

But softshell crab done right...is a thing of beauty and deliciousness.

My favorite place for a soft shell crab sandwich is Sears Landing just across the bridge from Topsail.

a friend of mine is buying 3 dozen prime for saturday. i have been called upon to clean and cook them. there are so many ways to cook them and eat them, but when it's done right, i've never heard anyone say they don't like them.

My friend ate a fried soft shell crab on a sammich. Later we were drinking and he puked up one of its little legs. I can't untie those images, and therefore can't eat those crabs.
