Why do people do this gesture in pictures? Are they telling the photographer "FUCK YOU!"? Is it hardcore?

Also, when people do the shocker in photos, does it mean, "I want to finger-fuck you, little lady, in all southern holes?", if the photographer is a woman?

I am curious about gestures in pictures. Is it that most people don't know what to do in staged photographs so they HAVE to do something to get over that awkwardness?

I don't ever do gestures or facial gestures in pictures. I always feel awkward enough to end up doing horse-mouth smiles that I can't be doing something else to make me look even more retarded.
