Goodwin then fled in a dark-colored vehicle. At the time of the crime, he was out on bond on two common-law robbery charges from November. Police say that Goodwin, who was a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill at the time, robbed a Suntrust Bank in Youngsville on Nov. 3 and Suntrust Bank in Apex on Nov. 7. He surrendered on those charges Nov. 13 in Atlantic City, N.J., after his mother made a televised plea for him to turn himself over to authorities."

Important to note that the previous 2 banks he robbed were Suntrust. So, he was out on bond and decides to rob a 3rd Suntrust...

Sir, you have to be pretty idiotic to not think they wouldn't consider you a suspect, especially since surveillance determined you height, color, etc. and the cops are aware of your previous robberies. What a dumb dumb. I am guessing he has either a gambling or drug problem. There was mention of a gambling problem a while back... well, maybe its a gambling and drug problem.

this was, perhaps, one of the best things he could have done... all of us are saying "what the hell was this guy thinking" or "what a loon"... well this sets a pretty good basis for his insanity defense.

Should have robbed a First Third Bank in order to make his criminal paperwork confusing.

Also this guy is probably some 99% occupy douche thinking he is taking it to the "rich man" by repeatedly robbing banks.
