Could Maryland soon have the nations ugliest football field?

I'm not sure this will ever happen or if the ACC would allow it but it's almost as ugly as the boise st.'s field.

According to this story they haven't decided on if the color would change or not..

It'll probably look pretty decent once they lay it out. Black on white looks like pavement.

I forget which school has the solid red field, but it is a horror on the eyes.

Apparently it's Eastern Washington. Looks awful.

A black field would not be that bad assuming neither team wears black obviously. Sort of like watching a basketball game on a black top in a sense. Regardless Maryland needs to stop trying so hard to be different. No one is impressed. They are like an emo kid now.

One of the main reasons why I like Maryland's stadium is because of the classic rock music they play. When I was younger, my mother would listen to rock while I was in the car and I enjoyed listening to it then. So the only time I really get to hear classic rock now is when I go to Maryland football games. It makes me happy to hear those great songs again. The other reasons that I like Maryland football is because of the great tasting food, great service, and the dancing they do. All these reasons bring me happiness.

Doesn't look too bad. Just put all the teams with the funky fields into the same non-BCS conference and let them use Canadian football rules.

We could join them. Paint up the field to make sections of it look like 3D obstacles from field level POV. We'd practice on the field and get used to it but hopefully it would screw with the visiting team... which has got to be one of the reasons these look at me teams do this nonsense.

When I point out that college football is extremely inferior to the NFL i'm always met with people talking about how college football has so much "tradition".

Well for a sport that plans on offsetting inferior rules and gameplay with tradition, college football sure has become awfully gimmicky the last couple of years.

That being said the field looks kinda cool but you should never go full retard.
