Moved to Durham are not that long ago (right in between Durham and Chapel Hill off of 40), and was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a family doctor. I got one recommendation from a friend, but after calling i think i'll pass. At that one basically you could only meet with a nurse practitioner, as the 3 Docs that worked there only worked about 5 hours a week and were generally booked up a month in advance.

I prefer a guy. I have BCBS Fed insurance. And I live

well that's good. i think. although the abrupt closing to your post makes me wonder if you need a doctor much quicker than you're leading on.

I like Imperial Center Family Medicine. Although we live in souther Wake now (Willow Spring) we still go there. They have mostly PA's but they know their stuff. Always busy, but always have appts available either same or next day.

I got to Imperial Family Medicine. They open at 7am some days and I have been worked in at 6:30 in the morning. I also have BCBS. They are near Pfizer in RTP. I have gotten several same day appointments.

They are mostly PAs with a few doctors.
