I'll be in an apartment right on 155 acre Fresh Pond... has nice pond views on the 12th floor. Anyone lived here or the Boston area and have tips? I visited last week and everything seems mad expensive. I hear NYC is far worse, so I guess I am lucky in that regard.

Everything here in NC seems dirty cheap in comparison... I am going to have to limit eating out and likely have to make other changes. I guess if anyone has any advice on the living here or suggestions, I am all ears.

don't go to a Harvard bar quoting Gordon Wood without having read Vicker's stance regarding social distinctions predicated upon wealth, especially inherited wealth.

have to credit that^ to another tww poster in another Boston thread

moving there because of a job... I'd never move there otherwise.

The cost of living is out the *** but I figure it is worth taking the job there for the opportunity and networking. Pays enough and hc benefits, so I am sold.

The savings from not driving add up very quickly...don't know if that is an option for you.
