no I did not mod it.

I got netflix and live to work last night.

Another question:
I just had to switch tvs because my samsung LCD just messed up. (I believe it is the capacitors)

I had previously just had HDMI cables going from my xbox to my samsung, but i switched to an Insignia LED tv for the time till i fix my LCD. Well just running the HDMI cable to my new tv from my xbox isnt working all hte time. If I unplug my hdmi cable and plug it into one of hte other hdmi ports, the sound will start working, but then eventually quit.

any advice?

All you need is one HDMI cable from the xbox to the tv. That's it. If the Samsung was 1080p and the Insignia is 720p, you may need to change the display resolution. But that's about it.
