Oddly enough the wife and I were just leaving the beach right at the boardwalk at 2 oclock, headed back to downtown wilmington. At least 20 new hanover Sheriff cars and Highway patrol were hauling ass to cb. Didn't think about ithe at the time, but it happened right when school was letting out. The outside le was to control traffic and make sure the school buses didn't go near the shooter.

Westbound is closed from 341 to 334 near Newton Grove. Easy detour down highway 50, though. Eastbound is clear from Raleigh to Wilmington. If you need gas, get it before you get out of Garner or you may not find any until Wilmington. I was on fumes and sat in line to get some at one of only a few gas stations selling fuel in Clinton. There was no power at 40/42, McGee's Crossroads, or highway 96.

I live in Wilmington and I rarely go to Flaming Amy's. The bathroom is on par with restrooms on Bourbon St. and the burritos are overloaded with cheap rice.

With that said, the salsa bar is where the place shines. Excellent salsa's and great variety. Also they do have good variety of burritos. I've just never given the place enough of a chance to try them all. I'm sure theres a few that are pretty good.

I prefer Islands for burritos and tacos on a weekly basis. Somehow they manage to make fresh taco's cheap and delicious. They don't go fancy or use any non traditional ingredients but they do make pretty good food.

I only every ate the Bacon Double Cheese Burgerrito...but that was back when I was a picky eater.

After 37 years, Sahara Pitas and Subs on Market St. is closing.

They're going to put a car lot there. Because that section of Market St. really needs another car lot.
