I really like Arrichion because their classes are only an hour long
I'm not sure I could handle 90 minutes of hot yoga right now...maybe when I really get into it and am more comfy with my poses I could try a 90 min bikram class 7/8/2012 7:20:50 PM

I did martial arts for a long time and that shits not for me really. A bunch of my friends are doing krav maga or whatever now, not for me.

i've only done hatha, which is very basic...but man, i felt so good after doing it for a semester (twice a week)
it was ridiculous how even that limited amount helped strengthen muscles i didn't even know i had, helped me lose weight, and reduced/eliminated muscle pain (which, admittedly, stemmed from lifting poorly and bad posture, among other things)
i want to get back into it 11/14/2012 2:31:24 PM

I wanna get back into it...the unlimited membership (which is what I would use because I went to like 4 classes a week) is too expensive for me right now.
Hopefully after the new year I can get back into it....I felt so good while I was taking classes 11/14/2012 2:32:57 PM

aren't you only supposed to do intense stretching like once every 3 days?
^^^^yeah where? also is this shit not recommended for beginners? I've done yoga before but not bikram and i would consider my experience a 3... on a scale of 1-100

You should stretch often often unless you're in the middle of doing intense strength training
Because then it adversely affects muscle build

what does a "regular" yoga class cost? open door suggests $15/class donation
Quote : | "Stretching every day is good" |
true...but he noted "intense"...i would assume that by intense he is referring to stretching muscles that are weak and in need of work
and in that case, i assume you'd want to avoid "intense" stretching of the same muscles every day

It's alright - did a 90 minute class, got bored around 60. Did Vinyasa back in the day which was a little easier. (Time aside)
I'm very heat tolerant so that didn't bother me as much. Sweat a lot obviously, but normal yoga usually makes me sweat. Loosened me up a bit more than regular yoga or p90x yoga. 11/14/2012 3:13:36 PM
