Is there really anything in the law indicating a need for specification of gender in terms of statutory? I know in some books, the definition of Rape is defined by (penile to) vaginal insertion, so that might make it tough if that is the case, but that is something that should be updated if it hasn't already.

The "creeper age rule" is in effect for same sex relationships as well.

Your age ÷ 2 +7 = youngest age possible you can get away with dating without looking like a creeper.

So if you are 30 years old, you can get away with dating a 22 year old without looking creepy.
(30 ÷ 2 +7 = 22)

I know in NC it states vaginal intercourse is required for it to be statutory rape (among the other requirements) - I have always heard that this means penis to vagina or vice versa. Aka same sex crimes don't get as harsh of a law thrown at them (same for other sexual crimes)
