THE IDEAL CANDIDATE To merit serious consideration, you must have a proven track record of information technologies leadership experience and achievement that includes a broad knowledge of and experience in planning, installation, integration, operation and maintenance of advanced and diverse technologies that must be supported and operated with near 100% reliability in a 24 hours per day, 7 days per week environment. You will have proven leadership experience in directing a medium-sized technical / professional staff including support personnel. You will have demonstrated a broad knowledge of platforms and systems used in the airport and aviation industry including common use systems and the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This unique opportunity will go to an exceptional, proactive person who is a persuasive communicator with a leadership style that is participatory, team-oriented, and engaging. As an experienced and effective team builder, you will have coordinated, directed, and managed the work of others while developing / implementing a strategic vision across an organization.
You will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, public administration or a closely related field and a master of science degree is preferred. You will have accumulated at least ten (10) years of high-level working experience in a complex information technology environment that includes at least five (5) years of supervisory / management experience. Preference will be given to someone who has airport or other high volume 24/7 operating environment experience. An equivalent combination of formal education and appropriate related experience may be considered. You must pass a background check without indication of possible aviation security risk as required by the Transportation Security Administration; be able to obtain (or already possess) a valid NC motor vehicle operator’s license; and clear a criminal / credit background check with no incidents of financial mismanagement or mishandling and no record of civil or criminal charges involving financial matters. You must meet pre-employment drug screening requirements.
