What, for air conditioning? That's a horrible idea . . . . peltier modules are notoriously inefficient. You have to put 80W into one to get like 8W of cooling (at BEST). Plus you have to actively cool the other side of the module, which requires a heatsink and fan or other similar setup. Poor life expectancy and rather low durability are also an issue.Traditional compressor based systems on the other hand are like 40%+ efficient as opposed to a pelt's 5-10%. Its really a no-brainer. This is why even fully electric vehicles use traditional compressor-based systems for cooling.

What Carl said. Peltier's a completely retarded idea. Phase change refrigeration cycles are the answer.
