how many rods and reels do you go through, as in break and ruin? are you rough on your equipment or always getting the next new thing?

i've got a couple nice rods and reels that have lasted me years, but then again my fishing is mostly limited to weekends off my dock and no longer days out on the water.

i take good care of my reels, but eventually they wear out to where it doesn't make sense to continue to repair them. i keep rods until they either break or the clear shit over the eye wrappings starts coming off. usually doesn't make sense to get it re-wrapped because i'd rather just buy a newer model rod. don't get me wrong, they last many years, but i also just kept adding to my collection. i've gotten to the point that i've got the right rod/reel and at least one spare for every type of fishing i do, so i only really replace worn out stuff now. also, most of my rods now have lifetime warranties so i just walk in the tackle shop with the broken one and they give me a new one.
