Has anyone seen that new Bob Marley movie where they're celebrating Mugabe's rise to power?

I could see Obamas being right if they go with what he has allowed vs what he has advocated for.

I did take some political quiz that had me agreeing with romney 63% and obAMA 68%. So they can be close depending on what you value.

So basically most people are completely opposite of today's leaders.

[Edited on August 8, 2012 at 4:41 PM. Reason : pretty depressing. also funny that obama and romney are indeed the same.]

I'm apparently libertarian answering in favor of trade restrictions. Does everyone else just see no limit to what government should be involved in?

the federal government should be involved in everything...to ensure our rights under the constitution.
the state government should regulate everything at the upper and lower bound of fraud. The federal government is designed to protect you from the state government.

The problem is the federal government gave themselves all the powers of the state governments and now there are laws that govern all 50 states under 1 country. Why have states at all?

This is precisely one the goals of the NWO. To erase borders.

^^ How in the hell do you expect states to realistically operate in this day and age without some sort of federal organization?

That's...not an argument. The federal government runs shit right now. No one knows how society would organize in the absence of the federal government or even state governments. Anyone that claims to know is lying to you.

Of course, it's an unsupported claim to say that we must have the federal government. Not really interested in hearing the same old arguments for why centralization is necessary. It's not necessary. Society functions from the bottom up, not from the top down.

But wait! We need people to protect us! Yes, that's it...

What specifically occurs "in this day and age" that you don't think the states could handle given the opportunity and responsibility?

dont bother giving him an answer; let him insult me instead (its a better use for his precious few brain cells).

hes simply one of those suckers that assumes anytime someone discusses increased state autonomy that theyre referring to:

1) the civil war
2) git r don
3) the south will rise again
4) racism
5) the federal government = obama = God = criticism not allowed

him and bullet have an unhealthy obsession with latching onto geniusboy's every word. i think theyre bots whose default responses are triggered by his presence and also certain conservative / libertarian buzzwords.

cue their response containing the following words:

1) hack (bullet)
2) fucking (imstoned420)
3) fuck (imstoned420)
4) fucker (imstoned420)

...and a decent bit of engrish (bullet). GO!

Well, Historically and contemporarily, it turns out with federal and state governments. As such, you are quite right that it doesn't turn out well.

Not surprising to see college kids and people in their 20s ending up on the left side of the spectrum.

Mine came out just as I would have predicted.

I feel like the fact that he landed on the exact same spot as yowillyo only further proves my point. It's pretty clear to me that he meant his comment as an insult. I mean, even wdprice3 landed slightly in the green area.

Basically, if you're anywhere near the center line socially, you're way too authoritarian.

Just because you're happy with the way your life has gone doesn't mean you have to support the establishment. Your life could be just as good without it unless you are some billionaire.

If I pick the most conservative viewpoints that I could comfortably agree with, i'd be 1 square left from wdprice3...

I can't imagine being on the right side, without choosing nutty things like people of different races should stay separate, or morality only comes from religion.

It's funny too the "leftists" here seem to also be the most "libertarian."

Wouldn't those choices shift you up rather than right based on the way they have the graph set up?

I agree with the downward shift. However, if this quiz took into account a few more issues, I'd probably slide further right.

I think "Libertarian" is an a.k.a for "American".

America stands for liberty and freedom and so does Libertyarian.

I'm pleasantly surprised that under beneath all the fighting and namecalling, that the majority of us are truly American at heart.
