I don't smoke. Never have. Don't like it, the health problems it causes, or the litter.

But I think this nationwide propensity toward unilateral smoking bans is getting absurd.

Smoking is legal, and you are free to do so. As long as you don't do it in any public space, your office, your car, a plane, your apartment, where anyone else can smell it, or within 20 feet of a building.

I'm totally down with places that let you have alcohol as long as it's only in plastic containers. Glass is a bitch to the feet around swimming places. But alcohol is wonderful, so let's have both.

IMO the biggest problem with smokers is the fact that they feel that littering laws don't apply to them. It's sad.
