Tailgating is starting to take over my thoughts so I figured it was time for the thread. Apologies kevmcd86

25 days until the first home game. If you are one of the lucky ones setting up in Atlanta, then only 10 days to go. This is where we post our tailgating setups, recipes, tips, experiences

The schedule, tailgate time/kickoff time:

9/15: South Alabama 1pm/6pm
9/22: The Citadel 1pm/6pm
10/6: Florida State TBD
11/3: Virginia TBD
11/10: Wake Forest TBD
11/24: Boston College TBD

My tailgate has evolved over the years from standing by a cooler with the radio turned up to now having portable electric power, 32" HDTV with satellite, keg tap/CO2, 4 player NES, Weber grill, deep fryer, cornhole, warshers, tent, and breathalyzer. Many of these innovations have come from inspiration from past tailgate threads, all wound up being pretty simple and cheap.

Whats on the grill/in the coolers for the USA game?

I am planning on frying chicken nuggets, shrimp and oysters. The folks we tailgate with usually have a 6 course spread, so keeping it simple.

Hoping to get a better keg situation going this season, perhaps a jockey box? For game one I will have a cooler of Keystone Light or Busch light. Light beer as I am driving afterwards. Will use the breathalyzer to determine when to leave the lots

I would not be opposed to going to @UNC this year again and taking over the Manning lot. If anyone wants to join forces this is the place to figure it out. Last time we went was the 41-10 blowout. We shotgunned beers on the walk to the stadium with Taylor Gentry's dad. It was a pretty awesome day

For the season, we'll be in the woods of the Staff lot. Grill, radio, acoustic guitar, cooler, and plenty of Keystone. Just the basics.

That lot kicks ass. Low key, no/minimal involvement from cops/staff. The parking pass guys can be dicks though. One year we were literally in line to park, waiting for the gate to open and the damn perforated edge of our pass came loose.

Even though we were like the 8th car through, we were not allowed to use the pass. He tried to explain that one of the 7 people in front of us had obviously used this pass and ran back out to hand it to us.

I'm thinking they might start keeping them this year. That part of the pass is a different color (black) than the rest of the brightly colored pass.

I will be in the TX lot this year. I picked up an old popup camper for cheap and turned it into a tailgating trailer. I removed all the canvas, the slide out bunk is now a bar/beer pong table. I slapped some red and white paint all over it, cut down the legs of a grill to fit in it, and added a bunch of NCSU stuff. Cornhole boards, turkey fryer, several stoves to cook on, tents, several tables, etc.

All this will be towed behind my 78 econoline that is set up for tailgating. Two TVs, three amps, 12 speakers, 4 batteries. Van can haul 10-12 people and all the gear can go in the trailer or on the 4'x8' roof rack. Im ready to go this year. Should be epic.

^that's an awesome idea, dude. Well played! I'm in TX this year again, going on 6 years now. Despite the long walk/stumble to and from the stadium, TX is pretty hard to beat IMO (except for the fairgrounds lots of course). Lots of room, ample opportunity for large groups to park together. Can't wait!

Rode by the lots today. Already some RVs parked out there.

Starting to get PUMPED for Saturday, went ahead and purchased some Red/Black Bud Lights for the day. I don't usually drink BL, but the team color cans do sway me once a year

I just don't get the point of the whole no line up thing. Feel like it's gonna make everything way more hectic right at 1:00. Gonna park close by and try to get there a little before 1:00 I guess.

The first I've heard of the no-line up stuff is from students saying it was handed out with their parking passes. I never got anything telling me not to do it.

It may very well be something they're doing, but they didn't exactly get the word out about it.

Apparently, someone brought it up in the football/parking/whatever meeting about traffic flow or something before the lots opened for tailgating and the Campus Police representative said the fix was to ban staging and that was that.

Just got my ticket! Since I'll probably be bumming a grill at a friend's tailgate I'll keep the food simple. Some sort of chicken/wings. Kabobs are also fairly quick and easy.

I'll probably get some Keystones, and bring a Harvest time or two to enjoy. Drinking a pumpkin ale while tailgating just feels right (more fitting when it's cooler, later in the fall, but I can't help myself)

I usually tailgate near the big tree in the student lot (near where the po-po set up) with a group of current grad students and alumni. (usually a few rows back from the road nearer the fence) I'd be more than happy to meet any wolf web folks if you happen to see me. I'm not sure what I'm going to be wearing or cooking yet, but it will be something.

We usually have a small enclosed trailer pulled by my friend's saturn, so if you spot me, come say hey. (My name in real life is Justin.)

^ just do what I did. Pick up an old popup camper. I paid $250 for the camper and have invested maybe another 200 in it. Just repainted it and fixed a few things. If anybody wants to check it out, ill be in the bottom corner of the TX lot. You should be able to hear the stereo blasting
