T-dub discount? If you stocked Porsche parts, I'd be all in...

We don't stock it but when I get into work tomorrow I can look it up. What kind of porsche?
8/22/2012 7:55:41 PM
944 I mean, don't go out of your way, as I don't know if there's a market for those parts locally. There's plenty of other reputable stores (online mostly) that stock what I need, and I won't be needing it for another 1 or 2 years.Kudos if you offer big brake kits.[Edited on August 22, 2012 at 8:15 PM. 8/22/2012 8:15:07 PM

8/25/2012 7:18:45 AM
Yea thats Romans Vette
8/28/2012 11:21:49 AM
my wife's 2000 toyota echo needs brakes, but i'm betting it's a lot cheaper to have one of the chains do it, wouldn't you think? or to have a twwer do it?
8/28/2012 1:28:42 PM
I could get you some, we don't do installs, i'll PM you
8/28/2012 2:47:54 PM
are expensive crazy rotors really worth it, assumign they arent shitty enough that they constantly warp, for a non track car?
8/29/2012 6:43:28 AM
no.
8/29/2012 7:12:38 AM
crazy expensive rotors are only worth it in certain applications, for example, DBA 2 piece rotors are worth it but only for race cars where heat and weight matter. In your case a Centric Premium rotor would do well for you, and thsoe are inexpensive
8/29/2012 5:11:16 PM
DBA makes the 2 piece rotors
9/4/2012 11:26:29 AM
y'all got any suggestions for good pads for a 2006 chevy 1500 truck that won't give ridiculous amounts of brake dust?
9/5/2012 1:40:21 PM
Hawk Performance Ceramic Pads
9/5/2012 4:00:36 PM
HB323x.724They make a HPS Performance Street, Performance Ceramic, LTS Light Truck & SUV, and a SuperdutyI would either go with the PC or the LTS, PC the coefficient of friction is not as high but they will produce a lot less dust.LTS has a higher friction coefficient but willl be slightly dustier.
9/5/2012 4:04:44 PM
i tow a 17' boat without trailer brakes. would i need the higher friction pads or will the performance ceramics be sufficient? obviously i'd like less brake dust if possible.for reference:[Edited on September 5, 2012 at 4:26 PM. Reason : don't tow it a whole lot][Edited on September 5, 2012 at 4:27 PM. Reason : sdf]
9/5/2012 4:25:05 PM
If that's the case I would recommend the LTS. Its always easier to clean your wheels than it is to deal with an accident cause your truck didn't stop.
9/5/2012 4:48:13 PM
will they last a decent amount of time?
9/5/2012 4:50:42 PM
http://www.hawkperformance.com/truck/lts.phpHawk LTS pads provide up to 49% better pad wear than other aftermarket truck pads
9/5/2012 4:53:54 PM
are you a WD for stoptech? i just had a stoptech/centric rep come by the shop today but he pointed me to a different local distributor.
9/6/2012 2:43:42 PM
We are not the distributor, we are just a brake shop, he probably pointed you to Southeastern.
9/6/2012 4:07:30 PM
that is correct, sir.
9/6/2012 4:15:28 PM
where do you work at that?
9/6/2012 5:40:32 PM
apex tuning.. we're a vw/audi shop (there's a link to our website in my profile)
9/7/2012 10:21:55 AM
do you guys do any kind of brake/rotor work?
9/7/2012 4:07:27 PM
yeah, on VWs and Audis
9/7/2012 7:10:38 PM
9/7/2012 9:14:46 PM
So the question is, "how often do you change brake pads?"amirite?
9/7/2012 10:10:18 PM
At one point, every other month (the months I didn't replace tires) Haven't been tracking it as much lately, though
9/7/2012 10:12:11 PM
So Carbotech pads are known to be rotor friendly. If you took those cheap rotors and tracked it with a Hawk DTC-60 or 70. That rotor would be torn to bits after the first session. If you go with a DBA 4000 Series which is half the price of a 2-piece. They can last multiple weekends, as long as they are cooled properly.Where did you track your car at?
9/10/2012 12:37:09 PM
was it VIR or CMP?
9/13/2012 10:21:06 AM
Who needs brakes?
9/27/2012 1:04:44 PM
I'm Ron Burgandy?
9/27/2012 1:29:12 PM
Finally getting some time with the carbotech 1521s and I like the feel, and I was expecting a little bit of noise but these are silent.
9/27/2012 1:54:44 PM
^^^^ Always CMP^^^^^ I was using XP12s in the front, and XP10 rears.
9/30/2012 12:30:36 AM
The Carbotech Bobcats are good rotor friendly, low dust pads, but you will find they don't last as long as you would like them to.
10/9/2012 12:15:57 PM
He has (or had - he's trying to sell it) a C5 Z06.
10/9/2012 1:25:59 PM
Do y'all carry any kits for classic mustangs ?
10/10/2012 4:15:23 PM
We don't have them stock but we more than likely can get them, what exactly are you looking for?
10/22/2012 12:48:13 PM
