S I was driving to the track on Friday...holly springs. Some dude in a 4runner pulls in front of me and slams the brakes. I pull over and go around the guy..who then speeds up and gets on my ass while waving something around in his hand. He eventually holds it out his driver window, it was a silver revolver.
When I saw this in my rear view mirror, I slammed on the brakes and got out of the car (prob not a smart choice..but it was right next to a gas station where people were pumping gas and stuff.)
I get out and turn to walk to his direction...and he jumps out of the car with both hands holding the gun and he was pointing it right at me. I yell at the top of my lungs to the people at the gas station "hey this guy has a gun and he is pointing it at me..repeated that a couple times. A few people at the gas station looked up and saw what was going on...within like a second or two, the guy jumped back in his truck and pulled around my car and sped off. I tried to catch up to him and take a picture of his plate,..but I couldn't get up to him. He eventually pulled down some side street and I didn't want to follow him into someplace where there were no witnesses.

So....that is my story...it is completely true.
The guy looked like a college aged guy...white, I think he was wearing a button up shirt...it was a dark silver 4runner with possibly out of state plates...definitely not a normal nc plate for sure.

I had a couple other people ask about whether or not the gas station had video..I should ago
And ask next time.
It happened on the road the passes behind the gas station..sorta a little distance from the station...far enough that if I didn't yell...they prob wouldn't have seen what was taking place.

You have to realize....this who event seemed to happen in a span of one minute...from when he got behind me to when he drove away and I couldn't catch up..

Coming from the point of view of a sane person...I thought he wouldn't even get out of the car..much less point the gun at me with several witnesses within eyesight and ear shot.
If this dude just robbed a bank or some other horrible shit and had nothing to lose I guess things may have gone down differently.
I wouldn't do the same thing if it happened again...I really don't know what came over me..
The whole thing went from "who is this guy,,do I know him?"...to "look at this clown waving around a toy gun trying to act hard"..to "omg, wtf just happened"

no...first of all, i was in a rush to get to the track so I would have a good pit spot..
second..i didnt feel like i had much info to give them, i just figured I wouldnt get too far anyways..
and by the time i would have done all of that, anyone at the gas station would be gone..
(i wouldnt be surprised if most of the people at the gas station thought it was a joke or something else for like youtube or whatever..thats what I would have thought)

Well, I'm glad he didn't shoot. When I was growing up, two cars pulled over in front of my house and the crazy guy with the gun actually took several shots at the person he was arguing with. Fortunately, the unarmed guy took cover in his car and took off with the crazy guy still shooting at him. Unstable idiots with guns. You can't make some of this shit up.
