I have two 60" in my living room and i need to sell one.

Only problem is that one of the fans died a few months ago. Anyone have an idea how much it costs to replace a fan? I don't know how to do it myself because I'm not sure which fan it is (there are more than 1 in the tv). Sucks too because I had just installed a new bulb in it when the fan went.

Glad people realize bigger isn't always better. When my bf talks about getting a new one it's, "I'll probably get a 50-inch. Or maybe 55 because that's only a little more. OK, maybe 60. But hey, the 70s are coming down in price ..."

bigger is definitely better. I gave away my 50" because once i got the 60" it just wasn't comparable enough to bother keeping it.

The key i think is to get the plasma rather than the LED. The LED is always like $1,000 more and is only better if you watch in a room with a ton of glare, night viewing the plasma is better which is obviously when you watch most tv.

They also try to appeal to liberals and idiots by telling them they'll save on their power bill. Oh wow, a whopping $10/month. Going to take about 10 years to break even on this tv that's retardedly more expensive. As if the power consumption used by a couple thousand tvs is more than even a rounding error anyway. Going green is one of the silliest concepts ever invented. Oh let me buy a chevy volt that costs $90,000 to make and is screwing the taxpayers out of millions of dollars. That'll save the world one starving baby at a time, good thinking.

I got a killer deal on my LED and it blows my friends' plasmas and LCD's out of the water. I wouldn't pay top price for an LED, but you can always find TVs on sale and the picture quality is worth it IMO.

An absurdly big TV only makes sense in a room of the appropriate size though. The living room in the place I'm moving to is small enough that, while I would like to get a bigger TV, I'm not even going to look at anything bigger than 47".

Ever since I decided to buy myself my first nice tv earlier this year, I've gotten to watch maybe 10 hours of stuff on it (no time anymore it seems). The kids sure are enjoying low-def alvin and the chipmunks cartoons from 20 years ago. Sigh.
