What are some non-sexual things you did as a teen (or teen-appropriate) that were really great experiences while camping?

Meh as long as it was near a body of water the entertainment always worked itself out for us

Wake up
Cook breakfast
Play on water
Make lunch
Play on water
Make dinner
Make fire
Play on water
Get fingered in the woods
Go to sleep
Rinse repeat

i've already got all the activities set up but im looking for something really special to top it all off. something to make them remember the experience the rest of their lives and post it when someone asks about it on an internet messageboard ten years from now

^came in here to post this

and the location of the camping would help. Depends on what is near buy. Shooting some guns (like some 22lr rifles or pistols), fishing, horse back riding, hiking, disc golf, spelunking... these could all be options depending on where you are camping

i really want to hear your stories of experiences during camping that you still remember today. it doesn't have to be duplicable. We are at a campsite that has access to everything any other site would have.

so trees and dirt

location DOES matter

you can't hike to the summit on the beach

and you can't swim in the ocean in the mountains (in this state)

when I was a kid I had an incredible time hiking to the summit of a mountain and the hang gliding from the top down into the ocean below

we got to shoot Uzis from the hang glider like Snake Plissken because he was popular at the time

I bet the kids would want to do that

Some friends of mine and I floated down the Cahulawassee River in Georgia down to Aintry before they built a dam and flooded the the whole valley, thereby removing one of the last untouched wilderness areas. It started off as a hell of a lot of fun, but the local inbreeds were rather peculiar. I do recall that one young'n could play the banjo like nothing I've ever seen before, I remember my buddy playing with him while I was trying to arrange for some of the locals to drive our truck to Aintry for us. I heard something strange in the woods the first night, I never could identify it and it had us all on edge for a while. The next day, we hit some pretty rough rapids and got separated. When I finally got my canoe to shore, I saw two hillbillies raping my other friends, making them squeal like pigs. I snuck up behind them and shot one of them with my bow and arrow, but the other escaped in the woods. We came across him later, or what we thought was him, and while my friend drew back an arrow to shoot him, the guy noticed and attacked him. He died, as well as the second hillbilly. We decided we could never get a fair trial, so we hid the bodies and continued our trip. When we arrived in Aintry with one of our party injured, the sheriff came to investigate; he said he had also been looking for his brother-in-law who had gone out hunting and never returned. He clearly knew we had something to do with the disappearance, but because the town was about to be flooded and disappear forever, he confided in us that he wanted the town to die a peaceful town. He warned us to never do anything like that again, and sent us all on our way. We vowed to never speak of it again.
