Depends on how you define value. If you're looking at ROI it's very dependent on your major. Comparatively, NCSU is cheap and offers a wide variety of majors along with decent to high ranks in quality of degree.

Stuff like this is probably a better measure though when it comes to what your degree is actually worth.

Like I said, it depends on how you define value.

And before you start spewing drivel like, "you can't put a price on education!!!1" let me go ahead and say that actually, yes you can.

If you want to learn purely for the sake of learning, which is laudable, you had better figure out how to pay for it or find someone willing to pay for it for you. However, most people pursue education with an end goal in mind, whether that is career oriented or other most education has some overall purpose.

my nc state degree has roughly the same value now as this

I swear when I started school here (1998) we were somewhere around 50th in the national rankings. Now we're what, 120? Go us.

good thing I god my job with my State degree back in 2008 when we didn't suck so much at education, just sports. now we suck at both!
