--------------------- This is by far my favorite golf tournament to watch. Seeing golfers on a team is so much better than individual. Awesome action today with each side winning one match so far.
As expected Tiger is playing terribly. The announcers were talking about sitting him for the afternoon session.

Afternoon pairings announced
P. Lawrie / P. Hanson vs. B. Watson / W. Simpson
R. McIlroy / G. McDowell vs. P. Mickelson / K. Bradley
J. Rose / M. Kaymer vs. D. Johnson / M. Kuchar
L. Westwood / N. Colsaerts vs. T. Woods / S. Stricker
Rory/Grahm vs Phil/Bradley is going to be really fun to watch. Love is surprisingly sticking with the Woods/Stricker team. It pains me but I have to start pulling for Tiger to get it together. 9/28/2012 12:48:07 PM |

Tiger played fine.
Stricker held him back. Friday afternoon Tiger had 7 birdies. Only problem was that he was playing against Colesarts who had 7 in the first 10 holes alone.
Tiger would've made that putt on 18 yesterday if it would've mattered. You can't expect him to drain it with the entire European team jumping and singing 10 yards away while he's trying to concentrate. 10/1/2012 9:48:53 AM |

^Not to mention having to hit an approach shot knowing you've already lost. Though, I was hoping they would tie it 14 all so it wasn't like we lost the cup. 10/1/2012 10:28:10 AM |

not a fair statement...announcers saw about 8 putts from that spot already. still a horrible read though

We had 3 or 4 players lose 17 and 18 costing us points.
Davis Love's captains picks played especially awful. The older guys just don't have the nerves anymore. Look at Vijay every week on tour this past season. He's riding the leaderboard for the first 2 days and then falls by the wayside during the weekend. 10/1/2012 11:17:55 AM |

Half a point. The best golfer in the world received half a point. That is not fine. Did you see his first round? Yes the captains picks, minus undefeated Dustin Johnson, played poorly, but if Tiger scores 1 point we at least tie. The one time every two years that I will pull for Tiger and he puts up a stinker (for a golfer of his caliber) every year - 13-17-3.
c-Dustin Johnson 3-0-0 Keegan Bradley 3-1-0 Jason Dufner 3-1-0 Zach Johnson 3-1-0 Phil Mickelson 3-1-0 Matt Kuchar 2-1-0 Bubba Watson 2-2-0 Webb Simpson 2-2-0 c-Jim Furyk 1-2-0 c-Brandt Snedeker 1-2-0 Tiger Woods 0-3-1 c-Steve Stricker 0-4-0
I can't really hate on Love for the captains picks. They were all ranked in the top 25 in the world (10, 12, 13, 23) with Furyk being the only questionable choice. Blame the players for this one.10/1/2012 1:01:21 PM |

^ you don't understand how friday and saturday work do you?
You want to sit there and say Tiger played like garbage etc...but you don't back it up with anything other than "half a point".
He played with sorry ass Stricker every fucking time. Tiger should've been put on the course Saturday afternoon with Keegan because Phil was to tired to keep playing.

He won 1/2 a point because he wasn't playing with Strick, and given the circumstances that probably would have been a whole point minus the Europeans cheering the whole damn time.
Dude birdied 5 holes on the back 9 two separate rounds. It's not his fault that Strick wasn't doing a damn thing all weekend long. 10/1/2012 1:11:58 PM |

^ haha touché
Friday alternate shot - If you think that round was lost because of Stricker and not Tiger (both were bad) you're crazy and didn't watch it.
Friday best ball - Tiger went out and played great but got beat straight up by a guy who shot 10 under. Our best player got beat head up to a guy who is 35th in the world.
I'll give you Saturday best ball.
#2 in the world plays #31 in the world and doesn't win, that's all on Tiger.
Quote : | "and given the circumstances that probably would have been a whole point minus the Europeans cheering the whole damn time." |
Bullshit it was silent when he was hitting. Now he was definitely rattled knowing he could only tie. I'm not saying that others don't deserve a shit-ton of blame. Yes Stricker and Furyk played poorly, but it just pisses me off to see all of these Tiger apologists. Tiger just doesn't play well in team matches plain and simple.
