i encountered one of these tonight.

this 19-year-old kid comes walking up literally using the cane. he doesn't usually use one, and i saw a little metal button on it similar to something you'd see on an umbrella, so i asked him, "is that a SWORD CANE?"

he looks me right in the eye and says, "why yes...yes it is." while i LOL heartily, he unsheaths it and points it at me in some fencer/ninja pose. the sword was surprisingly legit: sharper, heavier and way longer than i imagined. i told him i wouldn't be calling him any names.
