I lived in Morehead and have had summer jobs in Havelock before--pretty miserable place, but not... unlivable. It could be Jacksonville, I guess.

I mean its not terrible like most of NC small towns and its definitely not as bad as other military towns around here, but there's just jack shit to do.

New Bern used to have a decent metal scene, that's more Fareako territory though

^Olivia's is right on 101 on the corner closest to the high school , next to the closed video shop, and then there's a few shops that rotate. I guess lollipops is the other strip club but there's a bar Tun Tavern and then I think some latin place.

Using google maps, it appears that Havelock HS and Havelock Middle School are .2 and .3 miles from Lollipops. I just remember driving through the area on my way to Beaufort.

It used to be a adult video store/tatoo place.

I grew up in Havelock, was born on base, lived there 17 years. Parents and brother still live there. Its not so bad since the beach is so close, but yes, fuck all to do there.

Good place to live though if you like the water and boating/fishing/sailing....we lived on the neuse river for a few years and would sail almost every day.

Im still sad though when I visit and remember all the fun times at the atlantic beach piers that are no longer there (RIP Triple S).

Olivia's and Lollipops are in the same little strip (no pun intended). Lollipops used of be Sugars. Yes, they are right near the high school.

As for the other places in the strip, Flyer's and another biker bar are towards the end.

<---- Also lived in Havelock for most of my life (born in Morehead City). And my parents owned a bar so I'm familiar with the strip club establishments.
