Raleigh, N.C. — A female student at North Carolina State University told campus police she found a man she didn't know in her bed early Saturday. It is not the first such incident on campus and beyond, according to Raleigh police.

On Saturday at about 6 a.m., the man snuck into the woman's second floor room at Tucker Hall. She told campus police her room door had been unlocked. She was not touched or hurt, but her account is a reminder to the campus community.

On Friday, a home intruder climbed into bed with two sleeping female students and ran away when one of them woke up, said Jim Sughrue, a spokesman for the Raleigh Police Department.

Since February 2011, investigators have received reports of nine similar cases in neighborhoods north of Hillsborough Street near N.C. State, but the victims usually have a limited description of the intruder, making it difficult to determine if they are related.

The Friday incident happened on Chamberlain Street. In that case, the man was described as black, approximately 6 feet tall, with a muscular build, dark complexion and a short afro. He was wearing a dark-colored T-shirt and jeans.
