so I'm deactivating my facebook account at least temporarily, because I basically hate FB and only keep it around to randomly keep in contact with old friends - which is rapidly becoming a thing of the past..

for those of you who haven't done it, it pops up 5 random friends from your list and it says "xxx will miss you" above a profile picture of them (which I presume is FB's attempt at appealing to your emotions LOL)

kinda pisses me off that pretty much none of the 5 people shown would miss me, not to mention the entire rest of my FB friends list

anyway, basically the reason I made this is because this is one of the friends that will miss me...

I did drive down to visit her, where I finally learned after the fact that she didn't particularly want me to drive down there in the first place (my recollection is that she wasn't 100% against it, but she was probably like 70% against it). however, she didn't express that sentiment to me at all before I went down there. but yeah, we pretty much chatted incessantly during that time period (2008 I think), and talked a lot on the phone - like more than I've ever talked to anyone. and I hate the phone, so looking back, all the time wasted on that just annoys me

and no, I wasn't expecting to get laid or touch her boobs or whatever. I just wanted a place to stay, and she didn't offer that (which is fine - I wouldn't expect her to offer that in the situation she was in, and plus we hadn't met so it's perfectly reasonable). clearly it would have been nice, but not being the most suave person in the world, I did not come in expecting to do that - especially in a situation that is apparently perceived as sketchy, when it really wasn't meant to be that way. I just didn't want to be stranded on the streets in Wilmington, so a motel seemed like a logical alternative to that, or to driving back 2.5 hours in one day, when I dislike long road travel for the most part


I couldn't care less if any of this gets back to her, just for the record. and I'm assuming it's not important enough for it to, but it's whatever. I have absolutely nothing to lose by sharing any of this information, and I haven't shared any information that's so biting or below the belt that it's going to make her look at all worse (and I won't, because I'm not that kind of person, and secrets are safe with me)

I realize that I may look like a douche for saying this, but people pretty much gave me incessant shit about the situation without really listening to my side of it at all. even ncsugirl herself gave me shit because she apparently thought the situation was funny or something.. idk. I wish I'd taken the high road and not called her a bitch on TWW - I probably deserved some of the shit she gave me (not all), but I definitely didn't deserve the crap I got from random TWWers who didn't understand the situation - I don't believe that she is a bitch by the way, and really I think she's mostly a good person, and I do wish her well with things

I'm going to bite my lip from going any further since I've already typed a novel, but suffice it to say that I am confident enough to assert that she liked me on some level, and I basically have loose proof of that :3

pick it apart if you want, criticize it or tl;dr it

it's all good with me. the haters on here have pretty much numbed me to the point of not giving a fuck about pretty much all of your opinions on my personal life anyway. unless you're a user I like a lot - then your constructive criticism is not a problem
