The lame thing is that it's not even his finisher.

He was known all across the indies for doing great European uppercuts, and used this as one of his finishers, but then he got to WWE and they're making him use a Karl Gotch Neutralizer.

As long as you have never enjoyed a scripted piece of entertainment, I accept your criticism.

aside from Tim Donaghy controlling the Over/Under of a handful of NBA games, I don't think I have

though ACC bball refs have always been questionable, but I don't think I've ever enjoyed that

Pro wrestling is much closer to a scripted drama than it is to an unscripted sporting event.

Hell, no one has even bothered to argue that pro wrestling is a sport in over a decade.

i agree fake wrestling is a joke

[Edited on October 14, 2012 at 12:22 AM. Reason : however, it was awesome up to age 14 or so]

People think Walter White is an asshole, but no one hits Bryan Cranston in public.

Old women were jumping the barriers to punch CM Punk when he was doing his Straightedge Savior bits in 2009.

Which is to say that when fake wrestling is good, it's the best.

Why? I love melodrama, cool flips, winding up rednecks, and above all else, people who are good talkers.

The history of pro wrestling features some of the best performers ever to be given an open microphone on television.

Ric Flair, Bobby Heenan, Roddy Piper, CM Punk, etc.

I suppose "vinylbandit" is about as far from a prototypical wrestling fan as one might imagine.

I have plenty of friends who think I'm insane, but then I take them to a wrestling show and they get it. That doesn't mean they become fans, but they understand why I'm attracted to the spectacle and charisma.

Have you heard the Analyze Phish podcast?

Same concept, but after four hours of trying to be converted, the guy goes to a Phish show and still hates them.

the history is dope...just dont know how anybody in their 30s is still into it, let alone their mid-20s

while shitting on manufactured shitty music, which is also shitty

^^ One of the MSG New Year's shows from this past year.

^ Manufactured shitty music is manufactured and shitty. Manufactured wrestling characters (like Ryback) are just as shitty, but organic creations by talented performers (like Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, and CM Punk) are as invigorating and interesting as talented, original musicians.

ugh, those shows were pretty much universally lambasted by the fan base

but yeah, its not for everyone but I've definitely convinced people to go (back when tickets were 20-25 and they were lights out almost nightly) who really enjoyed themselves. definitely wouldnt call some of them fans but pretty much everyone had a blast

The episodes are all worth listening to, so I'm not spoiling anything, but it comes down to him admitting that he had fun that night, but it was mostly about being with friends and being high, and that when he goes back and listens to the tape he hates what he hears.

[Edited on October 14, 2012 at 1:19 AM. Reason : very few relistenable parts in all four of those shows]
